The Job

As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of key financial processes, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of management information and driving strong financial controls. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will support best practice and a high-performance culture across the finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing month-end management accounts and supporting working papers
• Preparing intercompany recharge sales invoices and payment runs for approval
• Overseeing group procurement and payments
• Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing accruals and prepayments
• Preparing and submitting periodic VAT returns
• Supporting annual accounts and tax computations, including liaison with external accountants
• Overseeing the integrity, maintenance and upgrades of the accounting system
• Championing governance and best practice in accounting processes and controls

This list is not exhaustive; you’ll work flexibly to support the team and wider business objectives.

You

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-focused Management Accountant who brings strong technical accounting skills and enjoys improving processes, systems and controls.  You may be fully qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience.

In addition, it is expected you will have:

• Strong Excel capability including PowerQuery
• Passion for best practice, accuracy and continuous improvement
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including Projects module (desirable)
• Experience with project time-capture systems (desirable)
