Job Description

Three Bridges Recruitment are working with an industry leading manufacturer based in Kirkcaldy, who are looking for a Temp Accounts Assistant to join their team for a 9 month maternity cover contract. This role will allow for you to manage the Debtors ledger, ensuring the timely receipt of monies due from customers and to assist in the timely processing of Sales Invoices and Credits.

Job

The role of Accounts Assistant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Posting cash received onto Nav system
  • Executing general Credit Control duties, including debtor card maintenance and new debtor checks
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Conducting CID reporting
  • Reconciling Sales Ledger
  • Handling HP/FL accounting and cash flow projections
  • Managing banking tasks, including drawdowns and currency purchases
  • Compiling EC sales lists and bank reconciliations
  • Balancing sheet reconciliations
  • Completing ad-hoc requests, such as organising couriers
  • Providing cover for holiday and absence within the Finance Team
  • Ensuring adherence to month-end cutoff dates
  • Reconciling Purchase Ledger and managing supplier payment runs
  • Undertaking other reasonable duties as requested
  • Sharing responsibility for reception, welcoming visitors, switchboard, and mail duties

You

As Accounts Assistant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Conscientious and responsible attitude
  • A thorough, methodical, and logical approach to work
  • Good IT skills, particularly in the use of spreadsheets
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Discretion and honesty when handling confidential information
  • Self-motivation
  • The ability to work as part of a team
