Job Description

Three Bridges Recruitment are supporting a well-established commercial business in Dunfermline (part of a wider national group) to appoint a Finance Assistant into their finance team on a permanent basis.

This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping things accurate, moving, and organised and who’s comfortable being the point that connects finance, operations, contractors and suppliers.

The role

You’ll support the finance function while also handling the admin that keeps supplier and contractor activity running smoothly:

  • Processing and reconciling customer and supplier invoices
  • Supporting contractor and supplier administration, including contract and invoice admin
  • Onboarding contractors and maintaining an accurate contractor database
  • Acting as a key contact for operational colleagues, gathering and sharing working instructions clearly and accurately
  • Liaising with operational teams on training requirements and updating the training matrix
  • Working closely with the compliance team and supporting ad hoc tasks and projects when required

 

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in a busy office environment (finance admin experience is ideal)
  • Strong organisation, accuracy and record-keeping
  • A proactive approach to spotting issues and fixing them early
  • Confidence using IT systems and working with data
  • Clear communication and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Comfort managing priorities in a fast-paced, operational setting
