Our renowned client is an established professional services organisation in Edinburgh.  They place a huge emphasis on delivering a quality service and have built a strong track record with a wide portfolio of clients.  They are looking for a Management Accountant to undertake a newly created position to join their team on a permanent basis.  This role will support the Finance Manager in preparing management accounts & preparing statutory returns.  This organisation is very well-established and still manages to operate a close-knit working environment which make it a great place to work.

Job

The role of Management Accountant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and commentary
  • Liaison with auditors and managing year end accounts
  • Detailed financial and KPI analysis at various levels
  • Monthly cashflow and profit and loss forecasting
  • Annual budgeting and cashflow monitoring
  • Fulfilling statutory and regulatory financial requirements
  • Authorisation of online bank payments and managing banking operations
  • Completion of tax analysis, computation, and review of tax return submission
  • Insurance policy renewals and company secretarial services
  • Provision of financial guidance and training across the firm
  • Compliance with the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules
  • Close work with Billing, Cashroom, and Credit Control teams

You

As a Management Accountant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • ICAS/ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA qualification with robust SME experience
  • Highly organised with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience within a finance team, ideally within professional services
  • Flexible, positive, and self-driven with a detail-oriented approach
  • Capable of performing in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in learning new systems and developing financial procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
