Three Bridges Recruitment is working with a leading not-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support day-to-day donation processing and frontline customer service. Job
As Accounts Assistant, you’ll sit within a finance team of five and work closely with colleagues across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing donations and payments with accuracy and care
- Managing weekly payment runs for approval
- Reviewing purchase ledger statements and carrying out reconciliations
- Resolving queries in a warm, empathetic and professional manner
- Creating and updating database records
- Supporting administrative tasks including preparing letters and stakeholder communication
- Handling financial transaction processing
- Assisting the wider team with finance queries
- Filing, scanning and general administration
You will begin primarily office-based in Edinburgh, receiving close support as you settle in, with the option to transition to hybrid working after probation.
This is a 3-month temporary role with genuine potential to become permanent.
You
As an Accounts Assistant, you will bring:
- Strong communication skills and a high degree of empathy
- A genuine desire to develop within a finance role
- Basic finance experience and/or administration or customer service experience
- A positive, can-do approach
- Calmness under pressure and strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
