Job Description

Three Bridges Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a values-led Scottish charity for an Accounts Assistant (Income) to join their central Finance team in Edinburgh. This is a permanent, full-time role supporting the accurate recording, reconciliation & monitoring of income across the organisation.

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in keeping income records accurate & well-controlled. Your work will include:

  • Maintaining accurate income records through checks, reconciliations & resolving discrepancies
  • Monitoring income bank accounts & completing regular & monthly bank reconciliations
  • Supporting services to improve income recording through clear guidance & practical support
  • Working with operational teams & finance colleagues to resolve issues & strengthen processes
  • Working with operational teams to ensure income records reflect occupancy & service activity
  • Liaising with credit control & wider Finance colleagues to resolve income queries
  • Supporting annual billing updates & ensuring changes are applied accurately across systems
  • Assisting with year-end income processes & preparing audit information
  • Contributing to improvements in income processes & ways of working
  • Using Excel confidently day-to-day

About you

You’ll likely bring:

  • Experience working with financial data, reconciliations &/or income processes
  • A track record of high accuracy & strong attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with non-finance colleagues
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g formula, & able to learn advanced features such as pivot tables)
  • The ability to manage deadlines, stay organised, & follow queries through to resolution
  • A practical, team approach happy working independently, but supportive & reliable with team
  • A notice period of 1 month is strongly preferred
