Three Bridges Recruitment are working with a well-established organisation, East of Edinburgh city centre, to recruit a Finance Assistant. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to build strong, hands-on experience within a supportive finance team.
The role would suit someone with around 1–2 years’ experience in finance, accounts or administration, or someone looking to begin AAT study and develop into a broader finance role over time. You will gain exposure across Accounts Payable, cashiering, credit control, payment support and finance queries, while also working closely with customers & stakeholders.

The Job
As Finance Assistant, you will be involved in:
- Supporting day-to-day finance administration
- Processing supplier invoices and supporting Accounts Payable activity
- Assisting with cashiering duties and payment processing
- Supporting credit control activity
- Managing finance queries from customers, colleagues and external stakeholders
- Helping with payment support and outstanding balance queries
- Using finance and CRM systems to check account details, payment status and outstanding amounts
- Maintaining accurate finance records
- Working closely with the wider finance team to provide a smooth and professional service
You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Some experience in finance, accounts or administration
- Some exposure to Accounts Payable, cashiering, credit control or payment processing
- Strong administrative skills and good attention to detail
- Confidence dealing with customer or stakeholder queries
- Good communication skills and a helpful, professional approach
- Confidence using systems and handling financial information
- A willingness to learn and develop within a finance team
