The successful candidate will provide financial leadership across multiple entities, delivering accurate reporting, robust forecasting and meaningful commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.

Job

As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the finance function and developing a high-performing team
  • Delivering monthly management accounts, statutory reporting and audit processes
  • Owning the annual budget and forecasting cycle across revenue, costs and cashflow
  • Providing strategic financial insight and partnering with senior leadership
  • Analysing project, service and team profitability to drive performance improvements
  • Overseeing financial management of multiple business entities and investment vehicles
  • Maintaining strong financial controls, governance and compliance processes
  • Managing cashflow, working capital and credit control activities
  • Acting as the technical lead for financial modelling and commercial analysis
  • Driving improvements across finance systems, reporting and business intelligence
  • Supporting leaders across the business with financial information and decision-making tools

You

To be successful in this role, you will likely have:

  • Significant experience leading a finance function in a senior finance leadership role
  • Strong expertise in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls
  • Proven ability to provide forward-looking commercial and financial insight
  • Experience analysing profitability across projects, services or business units
  • Background within a consultancy, professional services or project-based environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance audiences
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach to problem solving

It would also be advantageous if you have experience in:

  • Financial modelling, project finance or investment appraisal
  • Asset-based, infrastructure or development-focused businesses
  • Building dashboards and enhancing management information reporting
  • Board-level or executive reporting environments
