Henderson Black is a well-established accountancy firm with three offices in North East Fife: St Andrews, Cupar, and Anstruther. Each location serves a distinct client base. From agricultural businesses in Cupar to tourism and fisheries in Anstruther, and an exciting mix in St Andrews, including spinouts from the university, international clients, and property portfolios. As a training firm, they are proud to offer varied work, close-knit mentoring, and opportunities to grow.
The Opportunity
They are looking to hire a Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA or equivalent) or an experienced QBE from a practice background who can hit the ground running. This is a key role that supports their growing and diverse client base with financial statement preparation, tax compliance and broader practice responsibilities. The right person will be confident working autonomously, happy supervising junior staff, and ideally looking for a long-term move with potential for progression, including potential partnership.

- Training & Development – Henderson Black is an approved ICAS and ACCA training provider. You'll benefit from quarterly in-house training, external CPD and study support if you're working towards further qualifications
- Work-Life Balance – This is an office-first role to support collaboration and learning, but the firm offers flexibility with some opportunity to WFH. Part-time arrangements are also available
- Salary & Benefits – £60,000 depending on experience, with scope for more senior candidates. 31 days annual leave, and pension
- Accessible Locations – Free parking at the Cupar office and plenty of street parking in St Andrews make commuting easier
- Supportive Culture – You’ll work alongside experienced staff in a friendly, non-departmentalised environment where mentoring is valued and ideas are welcomed
